BelloPOS for your trade
Free POS software for bars and lounges
Rounds, open tabs and a counter that never stops, on a till that keeps working when the Wi‑Fi does not.
Free download for Windows · checking the latest release… · works offline

A bar is a stream of small orders that add up over a night: a round here, two cocktails there, a plate of olives for the table in the corner. BelloPOS keeps every table's tab open and running, lets the counter ring a pint in one tap, and prints the bill the moment a guest asks for it, all on the Windows PC or Mac behind your bar, with no internet needed.
Pick "Bar" when you set BelloPOS up and the demo database opens on beers, wines, cocktails, soft drinks and bar snacks, in your language and currency, so you can try service before typing a single product. The free lifetime licence covers sales, receipts and stock; table plans and staff apps come with a paid plan, for life or by the month.
What you get
Open tabs per table
Start a tab, add rounds all evening and settle it at the end, in full or split between guests. The running total is always on screen.
One-tap rounds
Draught beers, house cocktails and softs sit on the front grid, so the busiest drinks are one press at the counter.
Stock that follows every pour
Bottles, kegs and mixers come off stock as they sell, so the night's close tells you what to reorder before the weekend.
Staff and the cash drawer
Each bartender logs in with their own PIN, roles decide who can void or discount, and the shift close counts the drawer against the till.

A POS system for bars, taverns and bottle stores
Beer and spirits are the most valuable stock in many Zambian businesses, and the easiest to lose. BelloPOS scans every crate and bottle in and takes it out as it sells, whether it goes over the counter of a bottle store or to a table in a bar. Each attendant logs in with their own account, roles decide who can void a sale, give a discount or open the drawer, and from Go the activity log records who did what and when. Stock counts show the gap between the system and the shelf, so missing bottles are spotted the same week, not at the end of the month.
A Friday night in a Lusaka bar, a Chipolopolo match day in a Kitwe tavern or a busy weekend at a riverside lodge bar in Livingstone all look the same at the counter. With Pro, each table keeps a running bill that waiters add to from their phones over your own Wi-Fi until the guests settle. Sales reports per attendant and a cash count at closing show who sold what. ZRA lists clear beer, opaque beer, spirits and wines as excise goods, and liquor licensing has its own rules, so check your obligations with your accountant.
How Zambia pays, and how you record it
BelloPOS does not process payments and is not connected to mobile money networks, banks or card machines. The customer pays the way they always do, and you pick the payment method on the sale, so every sale shows how it was paid. You can add your own payment methods to match how your shop gets paid.
- Cash in kwacha, with change shown on screen and a cash drawer
- Airtel Money, added as its own payment method
- MTN MoMo, added as its own payment method
- Zamtel Kwacha and bank app transfers
- Debit and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard) on your bank's own card machine
- Any other method you take, added by you in a few clicks
- Credit for regulars, settled at month-end or on payday (Go plan)
- Accounts settled later by bank transfer for lodges, schools and companies (Go plan)
Because BelloPOS does not read your mobile money statements, check the sales recorded under each wallet against your Airtel Money, MTN MoMo or Zamtel statement at closing. A gap usually means a payment was recorded under the wrong method.
Bar and bottle store POS questions
Can I keep running bills for tables?
Yes, with Pro. Each table keeps its own bill that waiters add rounds to through the evening from the till or their phones, and you print it when guests are ready to pay. For trusted regulars who settle later, Go adds credit accounts with limits, so the balance is always on screen and never sits on a piece of paper behind the counter.
How do I stop losses behind the counter?
Every attendant signs in as themselves, so each sale, void and discount carries a name. Roles decide who can void a line, change a price or open the drawer. From Go, the activity log records sensitive actions with the time, and the shift close counts the drawer against the system and shows the sales of each person.
Does it track stock per crate and per bottle?
BelloPOS takes stock down by the unit you sell, so bottles, cans and crates are tracked as they go. You can set up a crate and a single bottle as separate products and adjust stock through regular counts, including empties if you track them as items. Low-stock alerts and the best-sellers report help you order from the depot before the weekend.
Can a bottle store sell to bars and taverns at a bulk price?
Yes. With Go, bars, taverns and lodges that buy by the crate get their own price group, and the till applies it when you select the customer. Walk-in buyers pay the shelf price. Purchase orders track deliveries from depots and distributors, and the stock history shows every crate received, sold and adjusted.
Does BelloPOS handle Smart Invoice or excise for alcohol?
No. BelloPOS does not issue Smart Invoices, handle excise or file anything with ZRA. Electronic invoices go through your Smart Invoice solution, and excise and liquor licensing follow their own rules. BelloPOS covers sales, stock, staff and reports. Please confirm your obligations as a bar or bottle store with your accountant.
