Sales today or this month, best sellers, stock value, low stock, who owes you money, what each cashier did.

It does the work

Ares adds and edits products, prices and customers, fixes stock, rings up a sale and prints it. You just ask.

Talk to it in your language

Type or send a voice note. Ares understands typos and mixed languages, like French, Arabic, Darija and English, and answers in yours.

Your shop in your pocket

On Telegram, ask from anywhere. Get reports, alerts when stock runs low or a sale is deleted, and send product photos straight to your catalog.

Reports in seconds

Any report as PDF, Excel or CSV, without opening a single menu.

Safe by design

Ares only does what each user is allowed to do, and asks before deleting or changing many things at once.

BelloPOS ProFor shops ready for the next step

One server, the whole shop on the same data

Your tills, your waiters' phones and the kitchen screen all work on a single database that sits in your shop, not in the cloud, not on someone else's server.

The server PC

One computer holds the database: products, stock, prices, sales and staff. It is the machine that stays on, and everything else simply connects to it.

Your local network · no internet needed

The other tills

Extra checkout stations join over your own network, by cable or Wi-Fi. A sale rung up on one till shows on all of them straight away, and the stock count follows.

The handheld app

Your waiter takes the order at the table from a phone browser. Nothing to install, no app store, and nothing to type again at the counter.

The kitchen screen

Orders appear in the kitchen the moment they are sent, on any phone or tablet browser. No paper tickets, no slips lost between the room and the pass.

Your data stays in your shop

The database is on your own PC. If the internet drops, and it does, the tills, the phones and the kitchen keep working.

Grow at your own pace

Every feature, explained on its own page

What each module does, the screens it uses, and the questions merchants ask about it.

Touchscreen POS software

The till screen your staff will actually use: one tap per item, one second per payment, and nothing waiting on a connection.

Stock management software

Every sale and every delivery moves the count, so what the screen says is what is actually on the shelf.

Barcode and label software

Any scanner works out of the box, and anything without a barcode gets one you print yourself.

Invoicing and receipt software

A thermal ticket for the queue, a proper PDF invoice for the customer who asks, both out of the same sale.

Customer management software

Know who is in front of you, what they bought last time, and the details their next invoice needs.

Customer credit and account statements

Set the limit before the sale, follow every debit and payment, and hand the customer a statement that adds up.

Purchasing and supplier software

Record what arrived and what you paid, then let stock, cost prices and supplier history update together.

Sales reporting software

What sold, what earned, who sold it and what to order next, without exporting anything to a spreadsheet.

Restaurant POS software

The floor, the pass and the bill on one system, still running when the line goes down mid service.

Repair & service business software

A phone left for repair, a haircut booked for 10 o'clock, a leak to fix at a customer's: one ticket per job, one number, nothing lost.

Offline POS software

Not an offline mode that catches up later: the software simply runs where your shop is.

Multi-till POS software

One PC holds the data, the other terminals talk to it over your own network, and nothing leaves the building.

Staff accounts and permissions

Everyone gets their own login, each role gets exactly the buttons it should have, and the history says who did what.

An EPOS system built for the way Irish businesses trade

Whether you run a coffee counter on Shop Street in Galway, a corner shop in Drumcondra or a pub off Oliver Plunkett Street in Cork, the job of the till is the same: take the money fast, get the VAT right and know what is on the shelf. BelloPOS does that on an ordinary Windows PC or Mac. Every sale is stored on your own machine, so a broadband outage on a Saturday afternoon or a patchy connection in a rural village does not stop the queue. Prices are set in euro, each product carries its own VAT rate, and the receipt prints with your business name and VAT number.

Most Irish customers now tap a card or a phone, so BelloPOS sits beside the card machine you already use rather than replacing it: you key the total into your terminal, mark the sale as card, and the day's report shows the split between cash and card for cashing up. Stock comes down with every sale, staff log in with their own accounts, and the X and Z reports close each shift. Start free on Lite, try every Pro feature for 7 days, and buy a licence once or a key by the month when you are ready.

Revenue rules for tills and EPOS systems in Ireland

Ireland has no certified-till scheme like France or Germany, but Revenue does set out what your cash register or EPOS records must contain and how long you keep them. Here is a plain summary of the official guidance, with links to the source.

Every till entry numbered, dated and timed

Revenue's guidance on cash register records says that where an EPOS system or electronic cash register is used, a complete record of each entry must be kept electronically, and each entry must carry a sequential number that uniquely identifies it, with the date and time. For sales to the public, a daily total of takings must also be kept and cross-referenced to your other records.

revenue.ie

Keep till records for six years

Cash register records and supporting documents, paper or electronic, are generally kept in a readable format for six years (section 84(3) of the VAT Consolidation Act 2010). Revenue expects you to be able to reproduce the data at short notice, and to back it up to another medium if the till cannot hold it all. BelloPOS keeps your data on your PC and lets you copy backups to a drive you control.

revenue.ie

Keep Z reports and protect the data

Revenue's checklist for retailers asks that Z total reports and the transaction data behind them are kept, that data is secured against later inappropriate changes, and that changes can be traced. It also asks that data survives fire, theft or breakdown. BelloPOS gives you X and Z reports, staff logins and, from the Go plan, an activity log and scheduled backups; ask your accountant whether your setup meets the checklist.

revenue.ie

VAT invoices for business customers

When a VAT-registered business sells to another business, Revenue lists what the VAT invoice must show, including the date, a unique sequential number, both parties' names and addresses, your VAT number, the goods or services, unit prices excluding VAT, the breakdown by VAT rate and the total VAT. BelloPOS can issue a sale as a numbered PDF invoice for a company customer.

revenue.ie

9% VAT on food service from 1 July 2026

From 1 July 2026, restaurant and catering services and hot takeaway food moved to the 9% second reduced rate. Alcohol, bottled water, soft drinks, sports drinks and some juices stay at the standard rate even when served with a meal. That makes a per-product VAT rate on your till essential; confirm the right rate for each item with your accountant.

revenue.ie

E-invoicing is coming, starting with large companies

Revenue's VAT modernisation plan starts in November 2028 with large corporates issuing structured e-invoices for domestic business-to-business sales, then extends in November 2029 and July 2030. In every phase, businesses must be able to receive e-invoices from suppliers that are required to send them. A PDF is not a structured e-invoice; follow Revenue's updates as the detail is published.

revenue.ie

BelloPOS is not certified, approved or endorsed by Revenue or any other authority, and this summary is not tax advice. The rules above are taken from Revenue guidance as published in 2026 and can change. Check with your accountant that your till setup, VAT rates and record keeping meet your obligations.

Every way your customers pay, recorded on one till

Cards and phones now dominate at Irish counters, but cash, accounts and invoices still matter. BelloPOS records each sale against the payment method used, so your cashing-up and reports add up.

  • Cash, with the drawer opening on the sale and a counted close at the end of the shift
  • Debit cards, keyed into your own card machine and recorded as card
  • Credit cards, taken on your card machine and logged against the sale
  • Contactless cards and phone wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, through your terminal
  • Customer credit: let regulars or local businesses run an account and settle later
  • Bank transfer for business customers who pay against a numbered invoice
  • Mixed payments, part cash and part card, so the report still balances
  • Split bills between guests at a table, with the restaurant module on Pro

BelloPOS does not process card payments and is not connected to card terminals. Keep the card machine you have from your bank or your payment provider, enter the amount on it, and record the sale as card in BelloPOS.

How Irish businesses use BelloPOS

A café in Galway

A twelve-table café near Eyre Square runs counter service in the morning and table service at lunch. Coffees and toasties sit on the front grid, so a flat white and a hot panini are two taps. Bottled water and cans carry the standard rate while the food carries the 9% rate, each set once on the product. At close, the Z report gives the day's takings by cash and card for the bank lodgement.

A pub in Limerick

A family pub with a food menu at the weekend keeps a tab open per table and rings rounds at the bar in one tap. Pints, spirits and minerals come off stock as they are poured, so Monday's order is built from real numbers. Each barman logs in with his own account, voids need a supervisor, and the shift close counts the drawer against the till.

A convenience shop in Dublin

A corner shop in Phibsborough scans everything from milk to phone chargers with a USB barcode scanner, and prints its own labels for loose goods and deli items. Low-stock alerts flag what to reorder before the cash-and-carry run. When the broadband drops, the till keeps selling, because the sales are stored on the shop's own PC and backed up to a USB stick.

A chipper in Waterford

A busy takeaway sells hot food at the 9% rate and cans and bottles at the standard rate, often in the same order. Each item carries its own VAT rate on the till, and the receipt shows the breakdown. The owner checked with her accountant how meal deals should be split between rates, then set the prices once so the Friday-night rush is just tapping and printing.

EPOS system Ireland: common questions

Is BelloPOS a Revenue-approved till?

No. Ireland does not run a certification scheme for cash registers, and BelloPOS holds no certification or approval from Revenue or anyone else. What Revenue does publish is guidance on what EPOS records must contain and how long to keep them: numbered, dated and timed entries, daily totals, Z reports and six years of records. BelloPOS gives you numbered sales, X and Z reports and backups, but you should check with your accountant that your setup meets your obligations.

Does it work without the internet?

Yes, fully. BelloPOS runs on your own Windows PC, Mac or Android tablet and stores every sale, product and customer locally, so a broadband outage, a dead router or poor coverage in a rural shop does not stop the till. Nothing depends on a cloud server being up. Because the data lives with you, make regular backups to a USB stick or external drive; the Go plan adds scheduled automatic backups so you do not have to remember.

Does BelloPOS connect to my card machine?

No. BelloPOS does not process payments and is not integrated with card terminals. You keep the card machine you already have from your bank or your payment provider, key in the total there, and mark the sale as card in BelloPOS. That keeps your card fees and contract exactly as they are, and the end-of-day report still shows the split between cash and card so cashing up balances against the terminal's own totals.

Can I set different VAT rates on different products?

Yes. Each product carries its own VAT rate, so a café can sell food at 9% and soft drinks at 23% in the same order, and a shop can mix zero-rated, reduced and standard-rated lines in one basket. The receipt and the reports break the VAT down by rate. BelloPOS does not decide which rate applies to a product; that is for you and your accountant, using Revenue's guidance.

What hardware do I need?

An ordinary Windows PC or a Mac running macOS 12 or later is enough to start. A touch screen, a thermal receipt printer, a USB barcode scanner and a cash drawer make the counter faster, but you can begin with a keyboard and mouse. BelloPOS also runs on Android tablets (Android 7 or later). With Pro and Pro+, our team installs the software, sets up your printer, scanner and drawer, and adds your products for you.

Is there really a free EPOS plan?

Yes. The Lite plan is a free lifetime licence with checkout, receipts, barcodes and stock, and no card is needed to download it. When you need more, Go, Pro and Pro+ are sold either as a one-time licence you own for good or as a monthly or yearly key paid in advance. Nothing renews automatically, and if a key ends the app carries on as Lite with all your data intact.

Can I run more than one till, or use a handheld?

Yes, with Pro. One PC acts as the main till and the others connect to it over your shop's local network, so a pub can have a till at each end of the bar and a café can add one at the counter and one at the terrace. Staff can also take orders on a phone or tablet with the handheld web app, and the kitchen can follow orders on its own screen.

How do I buy and get support from Ireland?

Download BelloPOS, try every Pro feature free for 7 days, then message our team on WhatsApp to choose a plan. You receive an activation key for your machine, and Pro and Pro+ include the done-for-you setup pack with installation, product entry and staff training. Every paid licence has a 14-day money-back guarantee. Prices are shown in euro on the pricing page.
