BelloPOS for your trade
Free POS software for bars and lounges
Rounds, open tabs and a counter that never stops, on a till that keeps working when the Wi‑Fi does not.
Free download for Windows · checking the latest release… · works offline

A bar is a stream of small orders that add up over a night: a round here, two cocktails there, a plate of olives for the table in the corner. BelloPOS keeps every table's tab open and running, lets the counter ring a pint in one tap, and prints the bill the moment a guest asks for it, all on the Windows PC or Mac behind your bar, with no internet needed.
Pick "Bar" when you set BelloPOS up and the demo database opens on beers, wines, cocktails, soft drinks and bar snacks, in your language and currency, so you can try service before typing a single product. The free lifetime licence covers sales, receipts and stock; table plans and staff apps come with a paid plan, for life or by the month.
What you get
Open tabs per table
Start a tab, add rounds all evening and settle it at the end, in full or split between guests. The running total is always on screen.
One-tap rounds
Draught beers, house cocktails and softs sit on the front grid, so the busiest drinks are one press at the counter.
Stock that follows every pour
Bottles, kegs and mixers come off stock as they sell, so the night's close tells you what to reorder before the weekend.
Staff and the cash drawer
Each bartender logs in with their own PIN, roles decide who can void or discount, and the shift close counts the drawer against the till.

An EPOS system for Irish pubs and bars
A Friday night in a pub in Cork, a session in a Galway bar or a match day in a Limerick local all look the same at the till: rounds, tabs and a queue three deep. BelloPOS keeps the busiest pints, spirits and minerals on the front grid so a round is a few taps, and with Pro each table keeps its own tab that you can move, add to all evening and split between the group when they settle. Several tills can share the same data over your local network, so the lounge and the bar stay in step.
Stock is where a pub makes or loses margin. BelloPOS takes kegs, bottles and mixers down as they sell and lists what to reorder before the weekend delivery. Every barman logs in with his or her own account, roles decide who can void or discount, and from the Go plan the activity log records who did what. If you serve food, note that since 1 July 2026 meals carry the 9% VAT rate while alcohol and soft drinks stay at the standard rate; BelloPOS holds the rate on each product, and it keeps working offline when the broadband does not.
Every way your customers pay, recorded on one till
Cards and phones now dominate at Irish counters, but cash, accounts and invoices still matter. BelloPOS records each sale against the payment method used, so your cashing-up and reports add up.
- Cash, with the drawer opening on the sale and a counted close at the end of the shift
- Debit cards, keyed into your own card machine and recorded as card
- Credit cards, taken on your card machine and logged against the sale
- Contactless cards and phone wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, through your terminal
- Customer credit: let regulars or local businesses run an account and settle later
- Bank transfer for business customers who pay against a numbered invoice
- Mixed payments, part cash and part card, so the report still balances
- Split bills between guests at a table, with the restaurant module on Pro
BelloPOS does not process card payments and is not connected to card terminals. Keep the card machine you have from your bank or your payment provider, enter the amount on it, and record the sale as card in BelloPOS.
Pub and bar EPOS questions
Can I keep tabs open for tables and regulars?
Yes, with Pro. Each table keeps a running tab you can add rounds to through the evening, move to another table, or split between guests when they pay. For regulars who settle later, customer credit records what they owe and what they have paid, so the balance is always on screen.
Does it track stock on draught and spirits?
BelloPOS takes stock down by the unit you sell, so bottles, cans and mixers are tracked as they go, and you can set up draught and spirit measures as products with their own stock. Low-stock alerts and the best-sellers report help you plan the order with your supplier. Pour-level tracking from the tap itself is not something BelloPOS does.
How do I stop mistakes and losses behind the bar?
Every member of staff signs in as themselves, so each sale, void and discount is recorded against a name. Roles let you decide who can void a line, open the drawer or change a price. From the Go plan, the activity log records sensitive actions with the time, and the shift close counts the drawer against the till and shows totals per member of staff.
What VAT rate applies to food served in my pub?
According to Revenue's guidance, from 1 July 2026 food and drink supplied as part of a restaurant or catering service moved to the 9% rate, while alcohol, soft drinks and bottled water stay at the standard rate. BelloPOS applies whatever rate you set on each product and reports VAT by rate. Confirm the right rate for each item on your menu with your accountant.
Will it keep working on a busy night if the internet goes down?
Yes. BelloPOS runs on your own PC, Mac or Android tablet, and extra tills connect over your local network, not the internet. If the broadband drops on a Saturday night, you keep pouring and ringing up as normal. Your card machine depends on its own connection, so check how your provider handles outages, and take backups of BelloPOS regularly.
