You set the tax rate on each product, so taxable items carry 10% GST and GST-free items such as basic food do not, even in the same sale. Receipts and reports show the GST collected, which helps when you or your accountant prepare the BAS. BelloPOS does not lodge anything with the ATO and is not certified by it, so check your tax settings with your accountant.

You can put your business name and ABN in the receipt header, show tax lines on every receipt and export an invoice when a customer asks for one. The ATO lists what a tax invoice must contain, and adds the buyer's identity or ABN for sales of $1,000 or more. Set up your template to match that list, and have your accountant check it.
