BelloPOS for your trade

POS software for hardware stores

Thousands of small items, trade customers and suppliers, on a till that never loses track.

Free download for Windows · checking the latest release… · works offline

Printing barcode labels from BelloPOS, with the name, price and reference on each label

A hardware store sells thousands of small things: screws by the box, paint by the litre, a single tap washer to a neighbour and a van-load to a builder. BelloPOS keeps every item findable by name or barcode, prints labels for the items that come without one, and keeps the count right as you sell.

Builders and regular customers can have their own prices with price groups, and buy now and pay at the end of the month on a customer account with a limit. Purchases from suppliers bring stock back in, and everything runs on your own computer, with no internet needed.

What you get

Find any item in seconds

Search by name, scan the barcode, or print your own labels for items that arrive without one.

Trade prices for builders

Price groups give each trade customer their own prices, automatically, at the till.

Accounts for regulars

Customers buy now and pay later, with a credit limit and a statement you can print.

Stock you can trust

Low-stock alerts and supplier purchases keep the shelves full without over-ordering.

How customers pay in the UK, and how BelloPOS records it

Cards now make up the large majority of UK payments, with debit cards alone accounting for more than half and cash down to around one payment in twelve, according to UK Finance. Your till has to record every one of these correctly.

  • Contactless debit and credit cards, the everyday way to pay on the high street
  • Chip and PIN for larger amounts or when contactless is declined
  • Apple Pay, Google Pay and other mobile wallets, taken on the same card machine
  • Cash, with a float, cash in and out, and a counted drawer at close
  • Bank transfer and Faster Payments, common for trade and account customers
  • Customer credit (on account) for regulars who settle at the end of the week or month, with BelloPOS Go
  • Gift vouchers or other methods you add yourself as payment types

BelloPOS does not take card payments itself and is not connected to a card machine. You keep your own terminal from your bank or payment provider, take the payment there, and select the payment method in BelloPOS so your reports split cash and card correctly.

Questions merchants ask

Can BelloPOS handle thousands of items?

Yes. Products are grouped in categories and found by name or barcode, and with Pro we add up to 1,000 of your products for you during setup (all of them with Pro+).

Can builders pay at the end of the month?

Yes. With Go, each customer can have an account with a credit limit, a statement and settlements.

Can I sell by the metre or by weight?

Yes. Sell an item by quantity, including decimal quantities, at its price per unit.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. Everything runs on your own computer, so you keep selling when the connection drops.
