BelloPOS for your trade
Free POS for convenience stores and general retail
Snacks, drinks, batteries and phone top-ups: a quick till for a shop that sells a bit of everything.
Free download for Windows · checking the latest release… · works offline

A neighbourhood shop sells hundreds of small things to people in a hurry. BelloPOS rings them up with a barcode scanner or a tap on the grid, totals the basket with the right tax on each line, and prints the ticket straight away. It runs on an ordinary Windows PC or Mac and keeps selling with no internet at all.
Choose "General retail" at setup and the demo database is filled with snacks, drinks, household goods and accessories, named in your language and priced in your currency, so the shop looks like yours from the first minute. Low-stock alerts then tell you what to reorder before the shelf is empty.
What you get
Scan or tap, then pay
Any USB barcode scanner works out of the box, and items without a barcode sit one tap away on the grid.
Stock alerts
Set a minimum for each product and see what is running low before the weekend rush, not after.
Barcode labels
Print your own labels for loose or unlabelled goods, with name and price, from the same app.
Know your best sellers
Reports show what sells, what sits on the shelf and the margin on each, so you buy on numbers instead of habit.

Retail EPOS for independent shops on the UK high street
Independent shops compete with chains on service, not on software budgets. BelloPOS gives a gift shop, hardware store, convenience shop or boutique a proper retail EPOS on the computer behind the counter: scan barcodes or tap products on the touch screen, take payment on your own card machine, and print a receipt with your shop's name, address and VAT number. The free Lite plan covers the till, stock and receipts for one user, so a new shop can open without another monthly bill.
Stock control is where a retail till pays for itself. BelloPOS tracks quantities with every sale, warns you when lines run low and records deliveries from wholesalers so stock and cost prices update automatically. Print barcode and shelf labels with the product name and price, keeping displayed prices in line with the till. Regulars can buy on account with customer credit, and trade buyers can have their own price group. Reports show best sellers, slow lines and margins month by month.
How customers pay in the UK, and how BelloPOS records it
Cards now make up the large majority of UK payments, with debit cards alone accounting for more than half and cash down to around one payment in twelve, according to UK Finance. Your till has to record every one of these correctly.
- Contactless debit and credit cards, the everyday way to pay on the high street
- Chip and PIN for larger amounts or when contactless is declined
- Apple Pay, Google Pay and other mobile wallets, taken on the same card machine
- Cash, with a float, cash in and out, and a counted drawer at close
- Bank transfer and Faster Payments, common for trade and account customers
- Customer credit (on account) for regulars who settle at the end of the week or month, with BelloPOS Go
- Gift vouchers or other methods you add yourself as payment types
BelloPOS does not take card payments itself and is not connected to a card machine. You keep your own terminal from your bank or payment provider, take the payment there, and select the payment method in BelloPOS so your reports split cash and card correctly.
Retail EPOS questions
Can I import my existing products?
Yes. You can add products by hand, scan them in with a barcode scanner, or import them from a spreadsheet or your previous system. With Pro and Pro+, the Ready-to-Sell Pack includes adding your products for you: send us your list and our team loads it, then trains you remotely on how to sell and manage stock.
Does it print price labels?
Yes. BelloPOS prints barcode labels with the product name, price and reference, which is useful for items that arrive without a barcode or for your own lines. UK rules on price marking require goods offered to consumers to show their selling price, and often a unit price, so labels printed from the same catalogue as your till help keep shelf and till prices consistent.
Can I run more than one till?
Yes, with Pro. Several tills in the same shop share one database on your main computer, connected over your local network, so stock and sales are always up to date across counters. Each member of staff has their own login, and reports show sales per user and per till. Go covers a shop with one till and unlimited staff accounts.
Can customers pay on account?
Yes, from Go. You can let regular customers buy now and pay later, set a credit limit for each one and see what every customer owes, with a statement you can print. Trade customers can also be placed in a price group with their own prices, so a builder or another shop buying in bulk gets the right price at the till automatically.
Is it suitable for a convenience store?
Yes, for the till, barcodes, stock and reports. It is not linked to wholesaler or symbol group systems, so price files are not updated automatically, and it does not include age-verification prompts, so your Challenge 25 and licensing procedures stay with your staff. Lottery, PayPoint and bill payment terminals are separate from BelloPOS.
