A laundry lives on small promises: five shirts and a suit by Thursday, a duvet for the weekend, a dress with a wine stain that must come out. BelloPOS Services opens a ticket for each drop-off with the customer, the tag number, the number of pieces, what was left (shirts, trousers, suits, dresses, coats, bedding, curtains), the stains and the instructions, and whether it is express.
Wash and fold, dry cleaning, ironing and stain removal are your service types. The ticket goes from received to in progress, quality check, ready and delivered, and the customer gets a printed ticket with a barcode, while the bag gets a label. When it is ready, one tap sends a WhatsApp message; at pickup, scan the ticket and take the balance. It is part of BelloPOS Pro and works offline.

How a job goes
- 1Take the bag in: customer, tag, pieces, items, stains, express or not.
- 2Print the customer’s ticket and the bag’s label.
- 3Clean, press and check; move the ticket to ready.
- 4Send the WhatsApp message.
- 5Find the ticket at pickup by scanning it, take the balance and hand it over.
How customers pay in the UK, and how BelloPOS records it
Cards now make up the large majority of UK payments, with debit cards alone accounting for more than half and cash down to around one payment in twelve, according to UK Finance. Your till has to record every one of these correctly.
- Contactless debit and credit cards, the everyday way to pay on the high street
- Chip and PIN for larger amounts or when contactless is declined
- Apple Pay, Google Pay and other mobile wallets, taken on the same card machine
- Cash, with a float, cash in and out, and a counted drawer at close

BelloPOS does not take card payments itself and is not connected to a card machine. You keep your own terminal from your bank or payment provider, take the payment there, and select the payment method in BelloPOS so your reports split cash and card correctly.

Can I take a deposit at drop-off?
Yes. Take a deposit when the bag comes in and the balance at pickup; the ticket always shows what is still owed.
Can I price per piece?
Yes. Add the items you clean as priced extras from your own list, and the ticket adds them up.
Can customers be told it is ready?
Yes. Mark the ticket ready and send a WhatsApp message in one tap, with the ticket number in it.
