BelloPOS for your trade
Free supermarket and grocery POS
Scan, total, print. A checkout built for a queue, and a free inventory desktop app behind it.
Free download for Windows · checking the latest release… · works offline

A grocery checkout is measured in items per minute, and every one of them starts with a barcode. BelloPOS works with any USB or Bluetooth barcode scanner straight out of the box: scan, and the product, price and tax land in the basket. Products without a barcode get one you print yourself, on labels from the app.
Behind the till it is a full inventory desktop app (stock levels, categories, suppliers and purchase orders), installed on your own PC in Morocco, where the data stays. The free lifetime licence covers checkout, receipts, barcodes and stock, so a small shop can run the whole thing without paying anything.
What you get
Barcode scanner support
Any USB or Bluetooth scanner works with no driver hunt. Scan to sell and scan again to receive a delivery, so stock and shelf agree.
Print your own barcode labels
Loose goods, repacked items and anything that arrived unlabelled get a barcode you generate and print from the app, in the label size you use.
Stock you can trust
Every sale and every purchase moves the count. See what is low before the shelf is empty, and check margins against what you actually paid your supplier.
Fast, offline checkout
Multiple tax rates, several payment methods and a customer screen, all running on the shop's PC, so the queue never waits on a connection.

A POS system for provision shops, mini marts and supermarkets
A provision shop lives on small sales: a sachet of water, a tin of milk, a loaf of bread, phone credit. That means busy evenings, thin margins and a lot of cash and MoMo to count. BelloPOS scans barcodes with any USB or Bluetooth scanner, prints labels for rice, sugar and other goods you repack, and takes stock off the shelf count with every sale. Receive goods from your wholesaler and the stock goes up. Because everything runs on the PC in your shop, dumsor and a dead router do not close the counter.
From a provision shop in Tamale or Cape Coast to a mini mart in East Legon or a supermarket in Tema, the jobs are the same. Go adds customer credit for regulars who pay at month-end, with limits so nobody runs up too much, plus wholesale price groups for the table-top sellers and kiosks who buy from you in bulk. Purchase orders help you check deliveries against what you ordered. A daily cash count and sales reports by day, product and cashier mean the closing is done in minutes and you see your best sellers at a glance.
Every way your customers pay
Ghanaians pay with cash and mobile money every day, with cards and bank transfers for bigger amounts. You add the payment methods your shop takes, and each sale in BelloPOS records how it was paid, while the money itself goes through MoMo, your bank's terminal or your bank account.
- Cash, with change worked out and a cash drawer that opens on the sale
- MTN MoMo, including merchant payments, added as its own method
- Telecel Cash and AT Money, each added as a payment method
- Card on your bank's POS terminal
- Bank transfer for larger orders from contractors and resellers
- Any other method you take, added by you in a few clicks
- Customer credit, where regulars take goods now and pay later, in Go and above
- A daily cash count at closing, the drawer checked against the day's sales
BelloPOS does not connect to mobile money, card terminals or banks, and it does not process payments. The customer pays through MoMo, your terminal or a transfer, you confirm the money has arrived, then you record the method and amount in BelloPOS.
Provision shop and mini mart POS questions
Can I run a provision shop on the free plan?
Yes. Lite covers selling, receipts, barcodes, barcode labels and stock on one counter, for free and for good. Many small shops start on an old laptop with a cheap scanner. When you want customer credit, wholesale prices, purchase orders or scheduled backups, move to Go. You keep all your products and sales when you upgrade.
How do I sell goods that have no barcode?
Create the product once, then print your own barcode labels for it on a label printer, for example for rice, sugar or gari you repack in smaller bags. You can also keep favourite items on the front grid of the sales screen, so the cashier taps instead of scanning. Every sale still comes off your stock count.
Can I sell at wholesale and retail prices?
Yes, with Go. Create a price group for resellers, kiosk owners or caterers and set their price on each product. When you pick that customer at the counter, the wholesale price appears automatically, while walk-in customers pay the normal shelf price. Both kinds of sale come off the same stock.
How do I keep track of MoMo payments?
When a customer pays by MoMo, choose MoMo as the payment method in BelloPOS after you see the confirmation message. BelloPOS does not connect to mobile money, so it does not check the payment for you. Each sale shows how it was paid, which helps you compare with your wallet statement at closing.
Does BelloPOS handle VAT and E-VAT for my supermarket?
No. Your reports show your sales totals by day and by product, but BelloPOS is not certified by GRA and does not issue E-VAT receipts. If your business is VAT-registered, issue VAT receipts through E-VAT, which GRA provides, and use BelloPOS for stock, credit and reports. Ask your accountant which rules apply to you.
