Free supermarket and grocery POS

A grocery checkout is measured in items per minute, and every one of them starts with a barcode. BelloPOS works with any USB or Bluetooth barcode scanner straight out of the box: scan, and the product, price and tax land in the basket. Products without a barcode get one you print yourself, on labels from the app.

Behind the till it is a full inventory desktop app (stock levels, categories, suppliers and purchase orders), installed on your own PC in Morocco, where the data stays. The free lifetime licence covers checkout, receipts, barcodes and stock, so a small shop can run the whole thing without paying anything.

What you get

Barcode scanner support

Any USB or Bluetooth scanner works with no driver hunt. Scan to sell and scan again to receive a delivery, so stock and shelf agree.

Print your own barcode labels

Loose goods, repacked items and anything that arrived unlabelled get a barcode you generate and print from the app, in the label size you use.

Stock you can trust

Every sale and every purchase moves the count. See what is low before the shelf is empty, and check margins against what you actually paid your supplier.

Fast, offline checkout

Multiple tax rates, several payment methods and a customer screen, all running on the shop's PC, so the queue never waits on a connection.

Billing software for kirana and grocery stores in India

A kirana store sells hundreds of bills a day, most of them small, from a counter that also takes phone orders and home-delivery requests. BelloPOS keeps that counter fast. Packed goods from Amul, ITC or HUL scan straight into the bill with their price. Atta, dal, rice and sugar you repack get a label you print yourself, so they scan like branded goods. Customers pay in cash, on your UPI QR or by card, and you mark each bill accordingly, so every sale shows how it was paid and the evening cash count is a quick check rather than a guess.

Udhaar is where many kiranas lose money, and it is where BelloPOS Go helps most. Every regular household gets an account with a credit limit; unpaid bills and payments are dated, and the balance is always right. On the stock side, purchases from your distributor raise quantities, every bill lowers them, and low-stock alerts tell you what to order before the shelf is empty. Whether your shop is in a Pune housing society or a Jaipur market lane, the software runs on your own PC, with or without internet.

Cash, UPI, cards and udhaar on one bill

Indian customers pay in many ways, often on the same day at the same counter. BelloPOS records how every bill was paid, and you can add your own payment methods, so the bill history shows cash, UPI, card or udhaar for each sale.

  • Cash, with change worked out for you
  • UPI through your own QR code (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM and other UPI apps)
  • Debit and credit cards on your bank's card machine
  • Udhaar on the customer's khata, with a credit limit and statement (Go and above)
  • Bank transfer by NEFT, IMPS or RTGS for trade and wholesale buyers
  • Cheque, recorded against the customer's account
  • Any other method you add yourself, such as meal vouchers or a delivery platform

BelloPOS records the payment method on each bill; it does not connect to UPI apps, payment gateways or card machines. Customers pay on your own UPI QR or card terminal as they do today, and you count the cash drawer at closing. Prices are shown and billed in Indian rupees (₹).

Kirana billing software: questions

How do I sell loose items like dal and sugar?

Repack them into the sizes you sell, such as 500 g or 1 kg, and create each size as a product with its own price. Print a barcode label from BelloPOS for each pack so it scans like branded goods, and stock comes off with every bill. BelloPOS does not connect to weighing scales, so you weigh and pack on your own scale as you do today.

How does udhaar work in BelloPOS?

From the Go plan, each customer has a ledger. Choose the customer at billing and leave the bill unpaid, and it is added to their balance. When they pay, in cash or by UPI, record the payment and the balance falls. Set a credit limit for each household and print a dated statement whenever they ask what they owe.

Can I take home-delivery orders on WhatsApp and bill them?

Yes. Many kiranas take orders on WhatsApp or by phone. Open a new bill for the customer, add the items and keep it open in its own tab while you serve the counter. When the order is packed, print the bill for the delivery boy and mark it as paid by cash, UPI or on udhaar. BelloPOS does not read WhatsApp messages itself.

Do I need GST registration to use BelloPOS?

No. BelloPOS works for registered and unregistered shops alike, as a billing, stock and udhaar tool. Its bills are sales receipts, not GST tax invoices or bills of supply, so if you are registered or on the composition scheme, handle those documents as your CA advises. Whether you must register depends on your turnover and state; ask your CA.

Will it help me reorder stock from distributors?

Yes. Set a minimum quantity for each product, and BelloPOS lists everything that has fallen below it. Record each delivery from your distributor as a purchase with buying prices, so stock goes up and you can see the margin on every item. Over time the reports show which brands sell fastest, which helps when the salesman offers a scheme.
