A grooming salon books animals, not just people: a poodle for a full groom, a cat for a bath, a dog staying three nights while its owner travels. BelloPOS Services books each visit with the owner, the pet’s name, species, breed, age, weight, microchip and vaccination status, its health notes and what it came with: leash, collar, carrier, food, toy, medication.
Grooming, baths, nail trims, boarding and daycare are your service types, with a staff member per booking and a calendar by day or week. Statuses go from booked and confirmed to in progress, ready and done, and products used can come off stock. The food and accessories you sell are normal sales at the till. It is part of BelloPOS Pro and works offline.

How a job goes
- 1Book the visit: owner, pet, service, staff member, time.
- 2At arrival, note health and tick what the pet came with.
- 3Groom, bathe or board; add the products used.
- 4Mark it ready and send the owner a WhatsApp message.
- 5Take payment and hand the pet back with its belongings.
How Tanzania pays, and how you record it
BelloPOS does not process payments and is not connected to any mobile money network, bank or card machine. The customer pays the way they always do, and you pick the payment method on the sale, so every sale shows how it was paid. You can add your own payment methods to match how your shop gets paid.
- Cash in shillings, with change shown on screen and a cash drawer
- M-Pesa (Vodacom) to your Lipa number, added as its own payment method
- Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money and HaloPesa, each added as a payment method
- Bank app and mobile banking transfers, added as another method
- Visa and Mastercard on your bank's own card machine
- Any other method you take, added by you in a few clicks
- Credit for regular customers, settled at month-end (Go plan)
- Accounts settled later by bank transfer for schools, lodges and offices (Go plan)
Because BelloPOS does not read your mobile money statements, check the sales recorded under each wallet against the M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa or Airtel Money messages and statements at closing. A gap usually means a payment was recorded under the wrong method.
Questions merchants ask
Can I record vaccination and microchip?
Yes. Both are fields of the pet care booking, with species, breed, age and weight.
Can I take boarding stays?
Yes. Boarding and daycare are service types, with the drop-off on the calendar and a due date for pickup.
Can I sell pet food in the same app?
Yes. The till sells your products as usual; the Services module (Pro) adds the bookings.
